Overview
Emily has been working in the Family Law area since 2018, and has been involved in a wide range of cases and situations. As well as a deep knowledge of the law, she brings empathy and energy to her work on behalf of her clients, and strives to keep her clients fully aware of their options, rights, and optimal routes to a good outcome.
Emily completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Maynooth University in 2016, and went on to achieve a Masters in Law in University College Cork in Child and Family Law. She worked as legal researcher to family law senior counsel Inge Clissmann prior to joining Poe Kiely Hogan Lanigan where she qualified as a solicitor. She continues to engage in legal research in association with Dr Louise Crowly of University College Cork, in support of the ongoing updating of her Family Law Book for Bloomsbury Professional.
Emily now leads to Family Law practice in Poe Kiely Hogan Lanigan, where she deals with the full array of matters arising, including separation and divorce, custody and access, childcare, and property and assets disputes. She is known for taking an empathic and common sense approach, treating each case and client on an individual basis, and focussing on achieving the best possible result for her clients. She has considerable experience in assisting clients in negotiating and finalising complex and difficult cases before the courts.
