Poe Kiely Hogan Lanigan was delighted to be the main sponsor of this years' Castlecomer Wellie Race. A great day was had by all and thankfully not too many grazed knees along the way.
The Wellie Race is a well known institution in Castlecomer and the wider Kilkenny area and has taken place on New Year's Day every year since 1978. To participate runners must wear a pair of Wellington Boots in order to complete the gruelling 5 kilometre course.
Congratulations to each of the winners in their respective categories and thank you to all of the participants and spectators. It was also great to see that this year's event saw over 400 runners take part and a lot of money raised for various charities in the area.
